What to do in LA

I'm gonna be in LA on October 8th and 9th. I was hoping to attend to a taping of The Price is Right or The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, but it ends up that we're gonna be in L.A. on the week end (they are not taping on week ends).

I was wondering if you had suggestions for special activities like this, kind of a "once in a lifetime" thing. The cheaper the better obviously

Jay Leno does stand up at this club in Hermosa Beach most Sundays. If you have time Sunday night, it is a usually a good show. Of couse, call ahead and make sure he will be there on the 9th.
