Going to training for a week and can choose between cleveland, irvine CA or lincoln nebraska. I've been to Irvine before and Nebraska is useless so I figure I'll check out Cleveland this time (unless it really sucks).

I know Iron Chef Michael Simon has some restaurants out there... and the rock and roll hall of fame is there but thats about it...

Is worth seeing or should I just go to the beaches in Irvine? Not that I'd have time for that with training :ninja:

LOL, why the hell would you go to Cleveland over Irvine? I'd rather go to Nebraska than Cleveland.

"What's so good about Cleveland?"

"You like it?"

"You think Cleveland is cool? I've never heard anyone say, 'I'm going to Cleveland on vacation.'"

The first order of business upon entering Cleveland is to get the hell out of Cleveland.

While I don't think Cleveland is nearly as bad as it used to be, and there is a kickass brewery there, if my expenses were paid either way I would choose Irvine.

Yeah, I live near Cleveland and no thanks. I'd probably pick Nebraska over Cleveland too.

Cleveland is actually pretty nice now, compared to when I was growing up back in the 70's. Of your 3 options, I would go to Cleveland.

Oh, and LOL at "beaches in Irvine".

I'd go to Cleveland over Irvine. I've never been to Nebraska. Cleveland has some good restaurants, and that's what there mostly is to do when you're in work/training all day. I haven't been to the baseball park there, but I try to do that whenever I visit a new city.

What's in Irvine? I know it's near a lot of stuff, but when it's a work trip you usually only have time to stick to your immediate surroundings. Cleveland would probably have more to do.

Uh... because it's california? The nice things about california are the sun and the beach, which you can easily get in a number of other states without being in california.

What are you looking to do? There are a ton of good food/drink places to go to. A few other places you could hit as well.

<-- I work in Cleveland and live near Akron.

Listen to Rover's Morning Glory while you are there. Other than that, I don't see a reason to go to Cleveland.
