I am torn in this Feinstein race though it probably doesn’t matter. I voted Republican 6 years ago because Feinstein voted for war. I don’t want her representing me. She’s an establishment milk toast patsy as far as I’m concerned, a Republican in Democrat clothes. Might as well have the real thing.

I was all set to vote for De Leon before the moron pulled the stupid stunt of criticizing her for something I thought she handled right. So which fuck do I vote for since I won’t vote for a Republican.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good enough. There's only one person who will govern exactly the way you want, and unless you're running, that person won't get a single vote.

Just vote for Feinstein. McConnell has completely abdicated his roll as a check on other branches of government, so he needs to be gone. Even Feinstein is light years better.

And if Republicans retain control the ACA will definitely be gone in the next 2 years, and twenty million people will lose coverage and everyone will lose protections for pre-existing conditions. Not to mention they'll pack the courts with even more Federalist Society pod people.

Quickest way to single payer is for ACA to die. Just saying.

I can't tell you what to do my friend other than I trust your head and heart. In the equations that are balanced in a seemingly less perfect world, choose or not. For my part I would be satisfied with your decision. You ought to be as well. We tossed the One Ring and that is also an imperfect solution. It is what it is and be content as best you may.

This kind of thinking led us to Trump.

Jungle primary, so you’re stuck with the patsy versus the moron. Good luck. I would vote Feinstein. De Leon couldn’t even handle messaging around the boy’s club in Sacramento.

You can't vote Republican in that race.

The way the Democrats rigged it you have a choice between 2 Democrats, either Feinstein or DeLeon. You no longer have a choice of political parties in the CALIFORNIA Senate race.
You no longer have a choice of Libertarian, Independent or Green candidates either.
My suggestion is to leave it blank in protest.

This.
I would also add that if you don't like your options there is option 3: becoming politically active (meaning running youtself, getting someone you support to run, or creating a political group/PAC that carries your goals and ideals)

Like joining the Green Party to support environmental concerns and............. ohhh wait, sorry, because of what the Democrat super majority did in California, you no longer have that option. Sorry, so sad.

Says the guy who supports the party doing massive voter purges. Georgia just purged a tenth of the state and didn't tell anyone.

Trump was not on the horizon six years ago and there wasn’t a snowballs chance of hell of the Republican winning. It was just an expression mpty personal protest for all the lives lost in that fucking useless war. My wonderful liberal congressman did the same thing and I voted against him too. I’m not so nuts as to vote for a Republican who could win.

That may be what I will do. I believe one needs to decide on the lesser evil in most cases but these choices are very upsetting. I can’t vote progressive if the progressive is also an asshole who will say whatever to get votes. Fuck him. And voting for the Iraq war, fuck her. I also wrote Feinstein to speak out for impeachment of Trump but she’s too politically calculating for that.

Turns out the Green party was funded by Koch money so no big loss there.

The GOP is not entitled to anything. Feinstein is pragmatic but also a victim of her own success in that she is a bit of a relic and in some ways at odds with an increasingly leftward shifting California.

To paraphrase Bernie, she's 100x better than any Republican.

It's basically gerrymandering on a statewide scale. Change the rules of the game to artificially favor one side over the other. The proof is in the results. Hopefully it will be challenged and make it's way through the court system before being discarded.
