What to do if the floppy controller on my mobo goes bad?

Then you RMA the board, easy simple solution.

Are you sure it's the controller & not your floppy drive or cable?

I tested the floppy drive and cable on another comp and they worked fine. I got the board used, its an Asus CUBX. So IM basicly just SOL?

if your board is out of warranty then you can either get a floppy replacement drive in the form of a LS120 OR LS240 ATAPI drive which connects to the ide channel or replace the board!

i would say new motherboard..........your other way around if you have a IDE channel open is to use a LS120 as another person has stated.

if you really need a floppy buy one of those super floppys.....read regular and super floppys.....but they hook up to the ide ribbon hope you have room...
