Was coming out of kroger (supermarket) and someone came up behind me saying "sir sir, did you drop this," well I have an identical card so I took it w/o thinking. Just realized a little while ago that it wasn't mine.

Did a google search, pretty sure I found the person's e-mail. So I sent an e-mail.

Called Kroger and gave my phone #. They asked me to bring the card in within the next day or so. Should I give it to Kroger or to the local bank's branch tomorrow?

Person is not listed in the white pages.

Anything I can do that I am not thinking of? Besides hookers and blow?

Call the phone number on the back and told them you found the card. They will likely tell you to destroy it, cancel the card, and notify the owner.

Just cut up the card and throw it away. They'll get a new one anyway.

That's what I would have done.

After a brief incursion and Tasers to the face, you'll wake up in a cell wondering WTF happened. A cockroach will be your only companion, his name is Dave and he can't read so you'll have to help him with the crossword clues.

Fixed.

Carry it around with you, neglecting to return it. Just don't get caught trespassing and have your car searched ... but how likely is that?

I did something like that once, took forever with the credit card company just to get someone on the line who would take the information. The entire phone call, the numerous people I was bounced around from, none of them conveyed any real interest in the matter.

Just not worth it. Cut up the card and throw it away.

Give it back to kroger.

I actually lost my credit card and drivers license yesterday while at a store. I called the credit card company and they put the account on hold but said they would give me a few days to "locate" the card. As of right now, no one has been honest enough to turn it back in. #$#@$'s I know exactly where I lost it too.. because my purse dumped out and all the miscellaneous slips were still on the floor, the cards were not.

I drop it off at a local branch if it's a local bank, unless it was found inside a store or in their parking lot, then I give it to customer service.

That's what I've done when I found a credit card. I wouldn't be able to track down the person who owned it and I couldn't answer for any store employee who I would turn it over to. I did not think of calling the card's phone number at the time though, I would probably do that the next time.
