I'm serious here..I think I had some bad chicken today.

I just ate a banana, which has helped with stomachaches in the past, but what else can I do now?

I must go er..watch TV.

I'm going to go off on a semi-long drive tomorrow, and I don't want to pull over at ever pitstop! Help is needED!

Eat cheese. Take Pepto Bismol or Immodium AD or Kaopectate (SP?). Oh, and don't bend over too fast. :Q

50 g of carbon will likely help too, like Carbomix. But it needs to be that much - eating just a 2 g pill or so wont do you any good...

GoldenBear:

"My doctor says . . . Gatorade and yoghurt."

Seriously.

Apparently, the yoghurt restores the balance of bacteria in the digestive tract; while the Gatorade replaces fluids and electrolytes to prevent dehydration.

I called his office with a "stomach virus" during a time when just about everyone I knew had varying degrees of "the flu". Aside from being swamped with "emergency" appointments, he also knew that I was in bad financial circumstances.

He said to try that for 24 hours, and let him know the results - It worked then (within 8 hours), and always has for me since. I know some people don't care for yoghurt, but I've always liked it . . .

Make sure you have an unobstructed path to the toilet, plenty of toilet paper and good plumbing! :D

Cheers!

ROTFL - you know, that really does apply! :D

Seriously, all of these suggestions will help (haven't personally tried the cork/monkey combo). Make sure you replenish your electrolytes (either Gatorade or any of the Pedialyte formulas work) then start taking Immodium or Pepto. Immodium always works for me, and it's pretty fast.

Make sure you take a couple of rolls of TP along on your road trip, you never know when you might need to suddenly pull over. ;)
