HI,

I put this in MOBO category and got no reply so far, maybe here is where it belongs.

I just recently got HP a1483w desktop as a gift. I just want the MB/2gigRAM/CPU x2 4200 only to build another cpu. I dont have the funds to buy a new MOBO. I'm throwing everything else into another CPU.

I just got done putting MB/RAM/CPU into another case. install a fresh copy of XP-sp2 on a new HD. After getting into windows, most of my MoBo drivers are missing, (the nic,sound,vga,pci-bus and a few more). I did research on the HP MOBO and it's is an Asus A8N-LA (Nagami). went to their site and found nothing or must of looked at wrong places. also looked at the spec sheet and tried getting the drivers individually and came to no avail.

some of the things i've done:
1. went to realtek website for NIC and it said that the drivers arent needed. could not find audio drivers too
2. I made system recovery CD and system tools Cd of the original HP configuration before taking it apart. I look inside these CDs and couldnt find any drivers.
(odd, because I also have a HP zv5000 laptop and it came with drivers/utilities cd's which was easy to pick out individual drivers for the laptop and mobo)

i'm the parts putting on a 450watt case and with evga pci-e 7900gt ko video card.

ANy help or suggestion would be appreciated,
ky
