What to do after a fight

What should a guy do after kicking the other guy's ass in a fight in a bar or street? Say you're walking with someone and get attacked; you kick the dude's ass - should you take off; wait for cops, call your mom - what?

Though if it was me, and I got jumped and got the upper hand, after the fight I would be waiting for the police to show up because I would have just shot and killed someone.

One of my favorite fights I saw:

Location: Se7en (when it was still open in Vegas...I think it's gone now)
Where: On the patio
What: Guy walks up to another randomly and hits him 1 punch to the face..the guy is immediately knocked out and falls down...guy jumps the rail and took off down the strip

This all happened in about 3 seconds..so it took about 3 more to realize someone was actually on the ground after you mentally went " OH DAMN!"
