What to do about my Ipod?

I turned 21 today (yay!), and my parents got me a 40 gb Ipod for my birthday. I just wanted to get some opinions from y'all as to what I should do with it.

I could keep it or return it and get the HP Ipod when it comes out. I'm not sure what to do, because I don't know much about the differences the HP Ipod will have compared to the regular one. If it's nothing too big, I'd rather just keep this one instead of going through the trouble of exchanging.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

The HP iPod is, I believe, just an iPod in a box reading "Apple iPod by HP". If there were any difference (which I don't think there is), I'd probably rather have the Apple one anyway.

Enjoy your gift and thank your folks for their generosity!

My suggestion would be to sell it and get a better player for a lower price, then get yourself a little something else (sennheiser pods maybe) with the extra cash. Win-win.

return it and get a cheaper/"better" player.

or you can keep it if sound quality isn't your top concern when listening to music. :p:)

he'd be saying to his parents that they should've done more research when buying something this costly. :D

I guess it depends on his parents. I wouldn't be offended; I'd want the recipient to enjoy his/her gift. It's selfish to be offended, imo, if you're the one "giving". That's pretty much how things have been in my family, at least.

pft, parents dont do research.... atleast mine never have, and i have NEVER heard of someones parents researching into the "best buy" for their kid. hes lucky he got a 40 gig.

ipod is not first, but nothing else seems to be obviously taking that spot.

My eyes must be tired. I read the title as "What about iPod?", and thought "baby steps".
