A skin moisturizer of some kind seems pretty logical...

I've never bought skin moisturizer before and I didn't see any in the shaving section when I was shopping. Would it be more over in the shampoo/girls section?

Some companies have introduced moisturizers for guys.

Go for something without fragrance. Go for an OK brand like Neutrogena. Don't buy the cheapest (crap) product. Some products have added sunscreen, but can tend to leave your face looking a bit shiny. Also, some products are a bit oily. All you can do is experiment with a few different brands, to find something that suits you. 🙂

Gillette makes some skin moisturizers for men and dry skin. Especially for after you've shaved (you do shave and have facial hair, right?).

yup, every morning. I've been working on cleaning up my diet, so I don't need to worry about acne or anything, just really dry skin from the weather. makes my face taut sometimes and feels stiff when I smile and stuff. weird 😛

What type of fats are in your diet? maybe you should switch to extra virgin olive oil, use that instead of margarine (which is poisonous) or butter. eat some fish. Take some dietary supplements like selenium, the b vitamins, a multimineral product, evening primrose oil, etc.

Dove facial moisturizer for sensitive skin. Its just water based lotion, wont clog pores, un cented. Been using it 2+ years. Great stuff.

Margarine is poisonous?? I'm a dead man! :Q

cetaphil daily moisterizing lotion. very light, and it's one of the few that don't clog me pores and what not. aveeno for hand lotion. and no lotion needed for... other things.

If you wash your face with some product, change it. I suggest something by dove, as dove products tend to be moisturizing. I hardly ever use lotion and its very dry here.

I use the generic form of Oil of Olay. Gets the job done.

Yeah, I use Olay complete all day: moisture lotion UV defense. It works fairly well.

Listen to the girl, they know their lotion

Neutrogena Razor Defense is made for men, but as I've discovered, it's pretty crappy.
I think Noxema (sp) has a "men's" product line, but I don't know if it's moisturizers or just cleaners.

If you want something that works you're going to have to either use a hand lotion on your face (hand lotions tend to be greasier, so bad for complexion and shiny forehead) - or buy a "women's" product.

Oil of Olay - get the unscented - works pretty well. There's probably cheaper out there, though.

If money is no object, wait for Brigden - he is sure to know the best facial moisturizer out there.

awesome, thanks for the info. my hands get really dry and crack and bleed in the winter and I use moisturizing hand lotion, but that doesn't work so well on facial skin, like you said. its probably because my diet stinks and I need to eat more fruits/veggies and my skin is paying for it lol.

To me, Neutrogena Razor Defense is made for men is one of the best products because its fragrance free and it doesn't dry your skin out like an alcoholic after shave like the ones by kenneth cole reaction which I use to use before, I have tried Nautica facial moisturizer and also their after shave. Nautica does a pretty good job, but I heard Aveeno is the best one around.

my other suggestion would be go to a nordstroms and try out some moisturizers there, they have good quality ones too.

Well, it has trans-fatty acids, which increase your risk of cancer and heart disease, plus it fvcks up your skin. So does eating lots of crap food with damaged (processed at high heat) fats. Add some healthy oils to your diet, like a good quality olive oil, your skin will thank you for it by looking healthy and being less dry. 🙂

"In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion."
