Since this monitor has that anti-glare coat, I was told not to use windex. However I heard from someone that rubbing alcohol is okay. Is it okay to use that? Also can I use it w/ a cotton ball or a cleenex or something?

NO!!!!! Don't use rubbing alcohol!! That will ruin it. Just use water, and a cloth :)

I either use water, or eye-glass cleaner that says specifically that it is "safe for use on all coated or tinted lenses, including anti-reflective," and a clean, "dedicated" terry-cloth towel now.

I tried a little alcohol, and Kleenex to get off this permanent blue marker (stupid move, thrift store lackey!) a thrift store used to mark the "$89.95" price on a Sony 17SE-II 17" I bought specifically for my second computer a month ago, and wound up taking off a little of the anti-glare coating on the upper-left corner with all the blue marker. :frown: The fact that I picked up the monitor at a half-price sale ($44), that it's a relatively small smudge that onlys shows a slight-bit on a clean desktop, and none at all in games, the fact the monitor was bundled with BNC cables, and that I got away with paying no taxes on it consoles me, though. Awesome monitor, but lesson learned. :D :D :D
