What to clean lens with on a Canon Digital camera?

Title says it all. I need to clean the lens on my Canon powershot.

Use a soft blower brush to remove any particles first. Then apply a small amount of lens cleaner solution to a cleaning cloth and wipe lens in circular motion lightly until clean. Always use blower/brush first!

Would alcohol work? If I put a small amount on a cue tip or cloth?

You don't want to be scratching it and stuff.

Don't use anything other than a cloth and cleaning solution meant for camera lenses.

Canon actually sells a little kit with a piece of microfiber cloth, and a blower brush, and some lens cleaner for a few dollars.

I tried all the "Professional" stuff, nothing worked so I tried WD-40, worked like a champ.

rubbing alcohol and kleenex works for me,or a Clean hanky/bandana.

never use toilet paper or a cutip on a good lense.

always use a good quality lens cloth or paper with some cleaner, they are much softer than these others.
