Hi all. Im working on a computer for someone and it posts ok and then gets almost to the desktop and then just reboots. I thought it was the hard drive going bad (their original) so I put another HD in, formatted it and put a new OS on it, the same problem. On the new HD i installed it gets to the splash screen (win98) and says updating config settings, the progress bar sweeps across and then decides it wants to reboot agn)
I thought it was the RAM so I put in another stick of pc100 and took their stick out...the same problem. Any ideas of where I might look next for the solution? It's a Compaq Presario w\ a Celeron proc, on-brd video, 64MB of pc100 ram, 15 gig HD. Any help and suggestions are appreciated!
