I can't even read a trade rag without some reference to Sept. 11. It usually takes some form of a side-note, attempting to be relevant, milking the issue while nationalism is still hot in order to boost ratings and convince people they really "care":
"Despite the tragedy of Sept. 11, ..."
"Because this was written in July, before the terrible events of Sept. 11 and their aftermath, ..."
"Following the Sept. 11 tragedy, ..."
"Ever since the terrorist acts of Sept. 11, ..."
"Caring took on a special meaning, since the Sept. 11 incident, ..."
Is there a name for the day or the usage? I was thinking of SeptemberEleventhon orTrageday.
