I have just come into some money, and i want to upgrade to a new system.

I am sick of playing the waiting game, as its really a pain to keep up with..

The current Prescotts, have been disappointing..

I realise, that Intel and AMD are bringing out new CPU, and chipset. The point is, that once the 775 and 939 , they will both bring out something else.

What do u reckon??

AMD Athlon 64 3400+
AMD Athlon 64 FX 51
AMD AthlonXP 3200

Intel 3.4 Extreme Edition
Intel 3.4 Northwood
Intel 3.2E Prescott.

The system, will be used for multimedia, burning videos, and editing using photoshop.

I will also be playing games.

I will be getting the 9800XT, im thinking the Asus or Gigabyte.

The Asus P4C800-E Deluxe Intel 875 or Gigabyte GA-8KNXP. Can you offer a better board, as i looking to get the most from OC.

What do you recommend as a good AMD board. ???

I thought about the MSI K8T NEO??

I will be getting Pioneer A07 DVD Writer.

Liteon CD/RW DVD combo drive.

I can choose 2 SATA drives, i am either thinking of 2 x 10000 rpm drives in RAID O.
Or going all out and getting 2 x 200GB Western Digital 7200 8mg in RAID 0.

I am getting the Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro.

I am going to get Corsair TwinX DDR500 PC4000 RAM. (2x512sticks.)

I am thinking of keeping the Logitech Z680, from my current sytem??? What about Creative Megaworks??

I am going to overclock this to the max, so can you suggest a good watercooling, sytem?? If you think something else would be better, please suggest. I want to crack 4.0GHZ.

Monitor, i am thinking of a Mitsubishi Diamond View 21" Flat screen CRT??

I am thinking of getting another Thermaltake case, i dont have any probs with the current one. I know that Antec also do a Lanboy, which is quite a nice case.

I am getting AntecTrue Power 550W PSU.

If you can offer any advice, any suggestions, on how to improve. Your thoughts, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I am giving my old Rig to my wife..lol

Well, considering what you have now, I recommend an Athlon64 FX-51 supercooled unit. They come prebuilt at 2.8 ghz Below zero cool
