My B-day is comming up and I am building my self a small multimedia machine out of one of those shuttle SFF. I have a radeon 8500LE in my current pc and wanted to know what type of card I need to pair it up with in order to record tv programming?

Go for the WINFAST "DELUXE" TV2000XP TV/FM MULTIMEDIA CARD at Newegg. $57 shipped and you won't be disappointed.

Pay the $20 more for the ASUS tuner card -- way better picture quality as it uses a newer video chip.

Why don't you get an 8500 AIW 128MB for $150 at crapusa this week? RF remote control !!! And you will still have a PCI slot open on your shuttle...

Which shuttle PC are you talking?

I got one of those SV25 boxes as a PVR. FYI the onboard video on those early shuttles suck hard. I have a ATI All in Wonder VE (which is basically a Radeon 7500 AIW on PCI slot) very very cool and the software is unbeatable. It is pricey but in my book very worth it. The TV listings program makes recording stuff super easy.
