I'm a Intel guys but I was wondering what is better (money is no problem) I do most of the time 50/50 movie encoding and game too and also if I get I Intel or AMD can I still be using that CPU for about 3 year? I usually no upgrade CPU that often like every 3 or may every 2 year but should I be OK in 2 year or 3? or u think that I will be change before that and the reason that I ask that is because I know I say that money is no issued but I don't want to pay much right now and later 1 year I need to pay that same money again for a CPU also did u guys think that a should wait may be the price will be go down on price for the fx53 or p4EE? but I don't want to wait to much. If they going down price how long that will take and how much on money that will be the difference?

PS: I know is ask too many question in 1 but please answer many u guys can thanks very much in advance :)

FX-53. It's cheaper, faster in pretty much everything except video encoding (but still very strong there), and IMHO just has a better architecture.

The FX53 is 2.4 GHz
The FX51 is 2.2 GHz

The new FX55 when it comes out will be 2.6 GHz

Do NOT let the GHz to GHz comparison fool you. The FX smokes the P4 EE's
Example
Yeah I'm Ed Downing ;)

PCPitstop Top Dog Challenge Non Overclocked.

Pitstop Challenge overclocked

One of the P4 ee's is running over 4.2 GHz

AMD has moved away from Mhz as a marketing tool. Since AMD chips have a shorter pipeline than the P4, it does more work per clock, making it comparable to Intel chips running at a much faster speed. Note that Intel is going to model numbers instead of Ghz for it's new CPUs as well.
