cheap sound card?? does it improve performance? looking for a $30-40 one..so willing to pay like 10 extra. How about this one: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de...83073-1136026?v=glance&s=pc&n=13436341
or this:

Was thinking abt getting Nero Ultra? Is it worth it? I use dvd santa, dvd decrypter, dvd shrink, i have used Roxio, but dont like it.

How about a USB thumb drive? Those are handy. Or perhaps a multi-format memory-card reader if you have a need for one. I'd say "pizza" except I don't think Amazon sells that

edit: if you don't have a router to provide a perimeter firewall, that would be another good item. Netgear RP614, D-Link DI-604, Linksys BEFSR11 or BEFSR41...

Nero is well worth the price. i love it. When Nero 7 comes out, I'll probably upgrade to it. Nero is the best thing ever to do with anything that is Optical Media. It even has the ability to convert boot floppys and floppy images to CD images. Very useful considering my new comp doesn't have a floppy drive.

What about the the turtle beach riviera card? or any other comparable ones? I dont really need 7.1 channel or even 6.1, but whtever is the best bang for the buck.

Oh, bummer.

AV-710 is a great 2 channel card. (and a decent 7.1 card)

Not so sure on the others.
