What to buy: ATI AIW Radeon, or GF2/KyroII + other vid capture?

I'm trying to decide what video card to upgrade to: an ATI All in Wonder Radeon 32MB DDR or a GeForce2.

I would like decent gaming ability; I don't have to have ultra fast frame rates, but I'm tired of not being able to play games because of my current weak, non-3D video card (Intel i740).

The trouble is, I want the ability to pipe my Hi8mm camcorder footage into my computer and do some online video editing (thus the ATI AIW).

So, ATI AIW or Kyro II/GeForce2/Other plus a different video capture solution?

I'm currently only running a CeleronII 600 at 900 (can go 1 GHz) and 320MB RAM.

Any suggestions?

A Retail Radeon 64MB VIVO is available for $150. A Retail Radeon AIW can be found for $160 on-line. All the AIW gets you versus the VIVO is the TV tuner/TIVO/Guide+ functions. The new AIW Radeon 8500 DV should be available at $420 shortly. the 8500DV has Firewire capability, a remote control, a faster GPU, etc.

I guess it depends partly on how much you want to pay.

Go with the AIW, but only if you plan on capturing to low-res (352x240) since the AIW doesn't have hardware compression. You would need 1Ghz+ to capture at 720x480 using the ATI software. NewEgg has the retail version for $159
