What to buy at Best Buy?

I have $85 dollars in reward zone money that expires on Sat. I was going to get a x800, but they don't seem to have them in. Any suggestions? Right now I plan to get Plantronics .Audio 90 headset, a movie or two, and maybe some cheap speaker stands. Do they have any sales this weekend? I really wanted that x800.

Buy something that costs $80, then return it in a week or two when they get the x800 in. Just don't open it.

If you do that they wont give you cash back but put that money back on your card and you will get another coupon in a month or two. I think you may be better off getting something like a Hard Drive at a really good price and then selling it on ebay to get cash.

Glad to know that they want give me my money back if I return an item bought with reward zone money. I actually though about doing that. Could I not open an item and exchange it for the x800. Does anyone know when they might have them instore? I don't know if I won't to sale an item on ebay. I have never bought or sold anything on ebay. Would it be easy for me to get my money back from an HD on ebay that was bought at BB?

I don't know if your store is different, but when I have used the reward zone money they discount the money off the original price. On your receipt the price of the item you purchased will have it discounted. For example you buy something for $99.99 after you give them your reward zone money the price of the item will be $14.99 and it will just say that you used your reward zone money, but it won't say how much was used. You might ask someone at best buy that if you buy something with your reward zone money and then change your mind and return it will they give you the $14.99 that's on the receipt or will they also give you back the reward zone money.

Wow, I would think they would have to give you back the full price in reward zone money or on a gift card.

Even if you waited till the X800 came in, I'm sure you could find it online for $80 cheaper than Best Buy had it anyway. Best Buy's computer department is really only good for ink cartridges and blank CD's. I remember I had $30 in McDonalds Best Buy money last summer, and couldn't find anything to spend it on. I just put it towards a GameBoy Advance SP for my girlfriend. The only other thing I've bought at Best Buy in the past 2 years has been a pair of headphones.

I went to Best Buy to look at car speakers, and they didn't have anything below $200 that wasn't complete crap. I ordered Infinity Kappas online for $175, which is better than anything they even carry.

Put it towards a new TV or something.

Since they have the x800 online for $399 that would mean it would be $319 at say newegg by the time they get it in. I would think they would have it in before it drops that much.

I already have a MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, but if I still had a ball mouse I would get one.

Called reward zone customer service today and was told that if you return something that you used the reward zone money to buy, then the money is credited back to your account and it should take about a month and a half for you to receive them again. If you don't find anything to buy now, you could buy something to return it in a week or two and then by the time they reissue the certificates they will probably have some X800s in stock.

buy a giant dildo to stick up ur rear, cuz that's all best buy does every time u buy something from there! 🙂

Just do a no-receipt return. Every time I've done that they give me a store credit gift card. If you want to spend it there anyway that's the fastest way to preserve the $$

Do not count on their good hearted help. One thing I have learned to count on. If Best Buy can find a way to screw you, they will. Do the right thing, but watch your back, and watch your paperwork.

Seems like everyone didnt read anyone elses post in this thread or something since I posted the correct answer first concerning what happens to the reward zone money.

Well I got the headset I mentioned, Underworld DVD, and CIV III Gold Edition. Didn't cost me anything. I thought about buying something and returning it, actually two BB people suggested it to me. The BB's near me are great. One was going to let me use the 10% off coupon from 2 weeks ago on the x800 that everyone here said could not be used on a video card. They even tried to do a costumer fulfillment for it since they didn't have one instock, but the date in the computer said it could not be done until next week, so the manager decided I could could come back then and us it even though it said no rain checks on it. Although then it wasn't even listed for costumer fulfillment. I really want a new video card for HL2 and Doom III, so I can keep waiting. It sure is hard though. I still have about $30 in gift cards that don't expire for the x800, 6800, HL2, or DoomIII to use when ever they come out. Thanks for all the suggestions.
