My Car

What tint percentage would look alright? I definitely don't want too dark, but I was thinking 35 on the front sides, and 20 on the back and the little side "windows", lol.

How would that look on a car that color?

I think your car would look better without a tint, but if you must, I've seen 35% in the fronts here in CA. It is dark enough to block out some of the sun but light enough that people will easily see through them. It really depends on the cop, but someone in CA shouldn't be pulled over for 35%. 20% in the front, on the other hand, is a serious cop magnet. I'm not sure about Ohio tint laws, btw.?

I need something, I hate having the windows clear.

That, and it's my Christmas present from my parents, it was either tint or a radar detector (why they would buy me this, is beyond me).

I find it ironic that you (or they) would choose between a radar detector or tints. One keeps you from being pulled over, and the other results in you being pulled over (in CA). :)

Buy the radar detector, it will save you money in the long run (if you speed on highways).

It looks like tint law in Ohio is 50% front and any on rear windows but in the end, you will just put whatever you want. You have a light interior so you would need to get something darker than if you had a dark interior. I have 20% all the way around. I have a black car and black interior so at night it looks real dark but at day it's not too bad. I would never get limo. 20% is already hard to see at night out the rear windows. I can't imagine going darker.

tint 'looks' is more color than percentage assuming you are sticking with legal tint.

Personally I want to go with the clear racing tint, 99% UVA/B blocking...but expensive as hell.

I do most of my driving at night and being able to see is important. I know dudes rollin' in 5% tint and even tinted windshields...I don't know how they get by.

I'm just afraid that if I get the radar detector, that I'll have too much trust in it and speed more, because I think it'll save my ass. :(

35% all around will be perfect. Don't mix them cuz it will just look silly.

Never mix the tint percentage as it'll look ridiculous.

It's all in personal taste but I had 20% but now I rather want 5%

You can mix, all of my cars have been darker on the back than the sides and looked great. All hatchbacks with a huge rear window. pic 20% sides, 5% back. Really needed to keep people from seeing your stuff in the back.
