What time do you set your alarm to? (also, what tricks do you use)

I have two alarms...one that wakes me up so I am semi concious and can sit up and fall back asleep sort of sitting up

then another that goes off 20 minutes later that wakes me up completely

I am a deep sleeper

i set it for 7:01, sometimes i snooze for 30 min, as long as im out the door by 8:15 im fine to make class by 9

I only use one if I need to get up earlier than usual. Since I work at home, it doesn't much matter if I'm up at 7 or 7:45.

I'd rather get 30 minutes more sleep than 30 minutes of being awake. So no snooze for me. I can't understand why people purposely want to wake up 10, 20, 30+ minutes before they need to and then they are that much more tired throughout the day.

My trick: pop out of bed with so much gusto that I'm jolted awake and never get lured back into the cozy bed's clutches.

All clocks in my house are exact time. I set them to within seconds of each other and to within seconds of the true time. In my experience, purposely having an incorrect clock has never helped anyone since they know it is incorrect and just adjust in their mind. I had one friend that every week or so, he'd set it back another 10 minutes. Then he'd adjust and be just as late as before. So next week it was another 10 minutes. He quickly got it off by ~7 hours and finally gave up since it never helps.

Alarm set to 6:07. Normally wake up right away. Hope in shower, get dresesd, eat if I fel like it, and out the door by around 6:50. Start work at 7:00.

Alarm goes off at 5:45, usually up by 6 and have to be in work by 7-7:30 (25 min commute).

I don't use any tricks these days. I used to put the alarm on the other side of the room, turn the volume all the way up, and set the radio in between stations (so all you hear is static). That worked wonders but since getting married a few years ago the wife nixed the whole waking to static thing. Now she wakes up right away and is the one who usually forces me to get up.

Three alarms...2 on cell phone, while cell phone placed at other side of room

Snooze clock alarm at bed side, with snooze of 5 minutes.

Some strategies are really good, and I am going to try one in particular...

8:00 if I have to take a shower in the morning. 8:20 if I shower the night before. I hardly ever hit the snooze button.

I use scheduled tasks, plays "Broken Wings" by Mister Mister(sometimes I change the song) every morning at 7:00.
