depends on your area...where i am i have 3 i can go to...one opens at 9, another at 10, and another not till 11. One has a 24/7 mail station though where you put your own package/letter on a scale it wieghs it and will print any type of postage you want without ever having to deal with the desk peoples

It varies between locations, some of my USPS offices open at 7AM and others open at 9AM.
