A good one will open at 6AM, maybe even 5:30 AM, and at that time they will have a crowded waiting room full of regulars with a radio on low and plenty of newspapers and coffee to go around, with wood paneling walls.

Man I am getting old. ;)

sounds like the one i go ot. but they open at 5-5:30 (depends on what time the guy gets there). its 3 old men and one 20something (one of the guys grandson).

they charge $10 for a cut and $16 for shave+cut (yes they shave. though not with a old style straight edge).

its a great place. free coffee while waiting etc.

They normally open at 9AM unless they have a spinning candy stripe pole in the front, then it's 7:45.

well they are around 70-80. most of the cliantel is about the same age.

also this is no place to get fancy haircuts. pretty much one or two styles heh. its just a old style barber shop.

but it was cheap and i liked the place.

though now i just have my wife cut it. we got a pair of electric clippers and she just gives me a buzz. keeps it about 1/4th inch.
