what things do you spend a silly big amount of money on?

i'm talking an amount, relative to income, that would make most people say "that's silly".

we're not talking "a slightly nicer car" silly, we're talking "100$k on pistols" silly.

the only thing i can think of for me is ancient coins - i spent a few grand (about %10 of spending) on them last year.

and now i'm getting into other artifacts as well... RIP my wallet x_x

Cocaine is out of fashion? What year is it? That must explain why I keep losing powder in the wrinkles on the hooker's ass.
Shudders.....

Costco quality would never allow wrinkly assed hookers. You must have stopped at Sams...or worse, walmart.

I'm spending about $2k on Christmas lights this year, and I'm not even religious. I just like blinks flashy things to music.

Computer hardware and peripherals (duh!)
Flight Sim addons
Virtual instruments, synthesizers, mixers, etc. (less and less in recent years)

Nothing unreasonable though. I'm pretty good at managing my money. Even sold my Virus TI, though that hurt...

Kitchen appliances. Not always necessarily for the expense, tho - my wife thinks I'm nuts for having four waffle irons (square, thick round Belgian, waffle sticks, etc.).

Probably server/computer equipment. Though I have not spent any money on any of that in a few years now, but I probably have easily 10 grand invested in my server room. The battery plant alone is over a grand worth. In reality it could probably all be replaced with one machine, but what's the fun in that?

spent 6500$ on my digital piano about 8 years ago, and in the past 2 years paid another 500$ for VSTs

Tools. While I haven't made any major purchases in awhile, in my garage I have two welders, plasma cutter, and around 10k worth of hand tools. I live in a snooty part of town to please my wife so I am like a fish out of water. I also have a car just sitting the garage that I don't regularly drive unless its nice and sunny outside so how dumb is that..

Board Games. Between buying them, paying for babysitters to get out and play them, storage, running a convention for a weekend to support the hobby, ect...

Yeah. It's a several grand a year hobby.

Home theater PCs (I have way more than I have TVs in the house).

Dog medical bills (I know some people that will put a dog down for a couple hundred $)
