What are you looking to use it on? If your putting it on the CPU then i would probably use AS5 for best performance. If your using it on anything else i would suggest Arctic Ceramique because its alot cheaper and will give you nearly the same performance. I would also suggest ordering from SVC.com because they have the cheapest prices i've seen.

overrated. in practically every test done comparing brands, arctic silver only makes a degree or two of difference. if even that.

AS5 is overrated but it's one of the easiest to apply (put a drop on, put heatsink on, rotate and squish, done).
Even better is the Ceramique, it's harder to apply, gives you better temps, is cheaper, and doesn't dry out as quickly as AS5 does.

But if you want the best of the best: Nanotherm PCM+. Easiest to apply, won't dry out, dunno why no one uses it - with the exception of that corrosion issue that was resolved a year ago. I think you can get this stuff on FrozenCPU for $1 more than the AS5 (it's $9 as opposed to $7.99)

AS5

Goes on easily, cleans up easily, good temps, and a very cheap upgrade for those looking to squeeze just a little bit more out of their rig.

Thanks for all the help guys I appreciate it. I guess I'll just stick to AS5 for now. The Nanotherm PCM+ info, though, is intresting. I'll have to test it out when I get a chance.

they biggest myth is that a more expensive or diffrent thermal paste will help you in any way..... its wont... but if you wanna be picky or want an expensive known kind
