Yesterday I took my Nannys computer to reload the OS. I was going to use my cable connection to get to the internet and update her windows, but it will not let me access the internet at all. The computer has a built-in NIC and I even tried hooking it up USB (with driver CD) and it still will not let me on. Last night I got on for a while, but decided to go to sleep instead of finishing. Now the darn thing won't let me on again and I can't remember what I did to make it work last night.

I also tried accessing the internet on my laptop (via USB), and it won't let me on either. I had never had any problems before. What can I do? I checked the device manager and both the NIC and USB drivers are in and the descriptions says "device is working properly"
