Like other religious minorities in Iran, Jews suffer from officially sanctioned discrimination, particularly in the areas of employment, education, and housing. They may not occupy senior positions in the government or the military and are prevented from serving in the judiciary and security services and from becoming public school heads.

With some exceptions, there is little restriction of or interference with the Jewish religious practice; however, education of Jewish children has become more difficult in recent years. The Iranian government reportedly allows Hebrew instruction, recognizing that it is necessary for Jewish religious practice. However, it strongly discourages the distribution of Hebrew texts, in practice making it difficult to teach the language. Moreover, the Iranian government has required that several Jewish schools remain open on Saturdays, the Jewish Sabbath, in conformity with the schedule of other schools in the school system. Since working or attending school on the Sabbath violates Jewish law, this requirement has made it impossible for observant Jews both to attend school and adhere to a fundamental tenet of their religion

You have yet to bring up one disadvantage the Jews have in Iran that the Muslims do not.

just one?
i mean seriously, do you have no shame?

Would you honestly want to be an openly Jewish man living in Iran?

Aimster won nothing but spin. It's a well known fact that Jews are almost universally hated in the middle east, and the Arab countries have a LONG history of brutal discrimination against them. Being a Jew in Iran would be very much like being a black person in 1950s Alabama... Or did you think the whole hoopla over Israel was all about politics?

HAHA wrong as hell!

no one in iran really gives a crap. they really don't. iranians are more discriminatory against turks than jews.

iranian jews live life just like iranian muslims, except they go to church on saturday rather than friday.

edit: haha i'm still laughing about your ridiculous analogy linking the treatment of jews in iran to the treatment of blacks in '50s alabama.

by the way, the radical muslim view of destroying israel has WAAAY less to do with genocide of jews and much, much more to do with what they feel is unfair occupation and military advantages against the palestinians in the area. they feel the zionists unfairly took the land from the palestinians and bully them around with tanks and state-of-the-art munitions.

Aimster and eits, whitewashers of the Iranian regime and Middle Eastern Islam. I assume they are both Persian Muslims living in the US. If their mentality is largely representative of Muslims living outside of the Middle East, it's no wonder there are barely any protests against "Radical Islam."

I am beginning to think Muslims who are the real minority "Radicals" are the ones who want to live in peace with the West.

Amused:

A) Iran's President is not the ruler of Iran
B) He is against zionist states, meaning he is against the state of Israel. He never said anything that labeled Jews in a bad way. He labeled Israel as a bad way numerous times.
-In every one of his speeches he always says something like "Jews, Christians, Muslims must unite to wipe the zionist off the face of this planet. We the people of Iran support you Jews who are living under a repressed regime."

He is 150% against Israel, but nowhere is he against Jews.

C) Jews are protected citizens under Iranian Law. Meaning they have every right that Iranians have.
D) They are allowed privleages for their religion, as are Christians (drinking alcohol for religious purposes).
E) Iranian Jews inside Iran have an automatic seat in the congress of Iran, meaning they have an automatic voice.

Um, no. The only fool is the person who claims to know of Iranian culture only as a Muslim, not a Jew. Meanwhile, I posted proof of the discrimination Jews face.

give what up? your argument was as piss poor as it usually is. all you did was post a link saying that jews have been around for a long time in iran and in recent years, jews have been leaving to go to israel.

it references one execution of a jewish guy who tried to help jews emigrate...

so, i guess everyone in iran must think that we're a nation of people who constantly hate black people because our news and tv programing is constantly showing stereotypes of black people and we imprison them or execute them for crimes they might not have committed.... and, we burn crosses on their lawns and lynch them from trees... and hit them with fire hoses...
