Well, subject says it all.

I wonder what the smallest case with the above spec is:
- mount for normal PSU
- one 80mm hole in the back or on top of CPU/AGP
- normal ATX board

I have an old desktop case which is just too ugly and doesn't have extra fan space. I suppose I could cut a hole in but that's not spotish.

Hmm... Do you want to stick with a horizontal desktop case or do you want to go with a tower?

If you want to stick with a horizontal desktop case, you can pick up one of those HTPC cases, such as a Silverstone or Ahanix. Those are nicely styled and are pretty well-ventilated, especially if you have the right PSU.

Basically anything that fits into my flightcase for a Trace Elliot Bass Amp :)

Your case looks like what I need. I assume these are 2x 60mm fans?

Hi Martin,

Yep, those are 60mm fans. That case is the Silverstone LC03, which is 16" deep, 16" wide and 6.5" tall. The PSU I'm using with that case is the Seasonic Super Tornado 400. With such a well-vented PSU, my case temps stay around 31C when ambient is 25C. The 16" depth does make it a bit cramped inside though.

If you want a more roomy desktop-type case, you can also scope out the Silverstone LC01, which is made of aluminum (which is light and might be a good choice if you travel) and is 18" deep. Another good one is the Silverstone LC13, which is a bit over 17" inches deep (but is made of steel).

All of those cases are also available in black.

HTH!
