What the hell, just calculated how many miles my car will have in a year...

I bought Toyota Camry mid-March and it had 64,000 miles at the time. I hit 67,000 miles today, so I drove 3,000 miles in a month 😕 What confuses me is I never went anywhere during this period. I was commuting back and forth between home and work so I have no idea how I put 3,000 miles on it. This kinda means I'll hit 100,000 miles in a year at this pace. 😕

I come over at night and use it to drive from DC to New York for fresh pizza. Can;t beat a NY Slice.

Nevermind. Figured it out.

bah, didnt even see the original response.

I would assume it's related to 100,000 miles in 12 months.
Except you mean 100,000 total, not 100,000 in that 12mo for 167,000 total.
Or at least that got me after I read through first time. Second read it made more sense.

Yeah, that's what I meant 🙂

3,000 miles in a month = 36,000 miles a year ==>> 64,000 + 36,000 = 100,000 🙂

Damn, I cannot believe I am driving so much... frickin nuts. So much money on gas too!

i drive about the same amount, sometimes more. when you drive that much, a used toyota or honda is pretty much the only way to go. when driven frequently, they'll last forever, mileage-wise. your 3K miles in a month probably did less damage to the car than a housewife's driving over the same period (less cold starts, most of the time spent cruising in top gear, everything nice and lubed up all the time).
