If they do manage to catch these men, they need to go to prison for a long long time. Then maybe theyll get the point why its wrong to attack someone while they are sleeping. That lesson should come rather quickly once they are sentenced.

I think that young people these days are quite out of control.

Here in La Jolla, CA there were some youths driving around in an SUV throwing rocks through people's windshields while driving. They killed one woman and injured a couple others. Fortunately the little pr!cks were caught. One of them turned out to be the son of a wealthy car dealership owner.

These days? Kids have always done random mischief and some obviously choose more violent and aggressive ways to cause it. Others skateboard and "vandalize" government and commercial property, some play "satanic" rock music loudly and disrupt neighbors sleep.

It's unfortunate and avoidable.

Yep, I agree. Nontheless, I can't help but get the feeling that the youth of modern society are in sad shape. But then again so are the adults of modern society.

these creeps should go to prison. however, the parents that reared these miscreants should be held liable for their behavior. mak'em share jail time with their offspring. it's just as much or more the fault of the parents that these young criminals got the kind of upbringing that led them to perpetrate such heinous crimes.

please, according to your theory the rise in teenage oral sex can be tied back to Clintons redefing of oral sex as "not sex", and there were no acts of violence against homless persons prior to the start of the war in 2003...:disgust:

Did Clinton receive 30,000+ blowjobs ;)

You know exactly what I am saying.. you just don't want to speak it from your own mouth..

unjustified assaults on sovereign nations have a way of escalating violence in the whole world.

violence begets violence on a grand karmic scale

This is why I could have never been a cop. guys like this I'd just waste before taking them to station house. Sick individuals who attack unprovoked and basically helpless individuals and even have to use bats and tag team most like have zero redeaming qualities and we are better off w/o them.

You assume that the parents 1) inflicted such trauma on the kids that it would 'explain' their deviant behavior 2) that the kids were 'driven' to beat the homeless men as a result of their upbringing. And 3) that the parents had complete control over their kids.

On the first point, a perfectly normal childhood does not necessarily produce a law-abiding citizen. People have committed crimes for personal reasons which have little or nothing to do with their childhood; avarice, jealousy etc.

On the second point, many people have had rather horrid childhood and yet didn't go around beating homeless men but chose to make their lives worthwhile with meaning.

On the last point, it's rather presumptuous to think that the parents were playing Big Brother on their children 24/7, and that constant montoring would've made a big difference. I remember reading an article about the Columbine shooters years ago and apparently the parents of one of the shooters thought they were doing a good job monitoring their kid (ie opening his backpack) but didn't know he was shooting guns.

No. Its Bushs fault.

All of it.
;)

No wait, Halliburton is responsible.
Its probably a conspiracy.

No wait, bats kill people.
Down with baseball, it begets senseless violence.

And no more Half Life 2 for any of you!
Bush probably made that game violent too.

The kids are trying to teach their elders that it's NOT OK to pee all over yourself, barf on the streets and drink wine all day, all the while having nowhere to go home to. ;)

On numerous occassions I've seen posts here that explain why this happens. It's about lack of respect in a general sense and certainly a particular lack of respect for the Homeless. Hate Speech has consequences, this is just Hate Speech to its' logical conclusion. [Godwin's Law aside] The Jews didn't just get rounded up inNazi Germany. First a Culture of Hate was created through Hate Speech[/] . The proverbial Pen is indeed mightier than the Sword.

So all of the violence in today's society stems from WWII, for the most part?

Pretty much sums it up......the closest things to themselves, not themselves, they could find to punish for being like them.

I believe there is a new video game out that the object of the game is to do exactly this. Run around town finding homeless people and beating them to death.
condemned criminal origins I think its called. I wonder if these idiots got the idea here.
