What the hell is wrong with people at Burdines-Macy's?

So i was out lookin at a watch for my fiancee a few days ago and saw a nice Skagen at Burdines-Macys...

I notice they are having a sale today so i call over there and speak to a lady at the watch department;

Me: "Hi, i was calling to see if your womens Skagen watches went on sale today"
Her: "Our what?"
Me: "Skagen Watches"
Her: "I dont know what that is sir, i've never heard of it before"
Me: "Skagen? Skaagen? Skoogen?" (Trying to see if my pronunciation is off)
Her: "We don't sell skagen watches here sir"
Me: "Well then how did i see them in your store two days ago?"
*click*

Ughhhhhh, how the hell do you pronounce skagen?

I say 'Skay-gen"
