What the hell is up with my hands?

Starting a few months ago my hands have gone through a cycle. First they get super peely and dry for no apparent reason (my hands also feel like they are on fire). Therefore I've been using some hand lotion which has been a good work around. Then my hands kind of clear up and are fine for a couple days. Then the cycle repeats as they get super peely and dry again.

And no, it's not because of masturbation 😛

I'm thinking it's some sort of baterium/fungus or something that's causing this. Any ATOT dermatologists have any ideas?

well, I'll play the role of the ATOT crackpot dermatologist😀 My grandfather had something similar on his arms and the doctors told him to use an antifungal foot spray/cream and it cleared it up rather quickly. But I think homebrewerdude is right, see a real dermatologist

Yeah I probably will. I figured I might as well just toss a thread out there to see if anyone else has/had the problem.

My friend gets spots of dry, peeling skin on his hands. It only kicks up when he's been working a lot or exercising a bunch though. Unfortunately he has no idea what causes it.

Yeah, go see a real dermatologist. I doubt anybody here has something that obscure, and even if they do I doubt they know what it is.

Well, I might have something similar. Usually as ever season changes my hands start to peal, usually more at the thumbs are the worst. What I usually do is just use coco butter on my hands at night. If it is really bad you can use olive oil and where some cotton gloves when you go to bed.
