Schola, I also would not want a known sex offender in my neighborhood. The fact of the matter is, they are often repeat offenders, which is part of the reason why we put people in jail(to keep them from committing crime.) If a sex offender did live in my neighborhood, that would give me even more reason to hope he/she was reformed.
The fact of a matter is, many criminals do not become valuable citizens. Malcom X was considered a criminal. He certainly became a valuable citizen. There is so much potential in ever human being and I hope that that potential is realized(however unlikely that is), rather than destroyed.
