What the hell is it with people at work that don't know when to give a phrase a rest?

2 people, both in the same dept, always ending their e-mails with "Please advise", no matter the subject. Maybe I should reply with "I advise you to drop that bullshIt phrase and talk normally you ass clown"

Perhaps it's in their sig line?

That's the most likely case, which makes it even more annoying and useless

Yeah...I agree. So much for that personal feel. LOL

Just like when you get junk mail where you name has been inserted into the letter in an effort to make you think that YOU are "special."

Maybe we should touch base tomorrow and have a brainstorming session. We can bounce ideas off each other and devise solutions using out-of-box thinking. Maybe we can integrate collaborative action-points and empower user-centric solutions.

Please advise.

Please advice.

We need to enhance collaborative models, empower transparent partnerships, visualise intuitive solutions, and revolutionise out-of-the-box channels. Repurpose synergistic convergence if you have to.

Please advise.

I have "Have a nice day" in my sig.

People in this office have learned to ignore it, but whenever I email the other offices, I always find it hilarious that they take time to reply to it, like thank you, you have a good one too. Then, when we're emailing back and forth a lot, I just find it hilarious, or maybe its just because I'm stuck in the office at 12:47 on a sunday night...

Hey "I'd buy that for a dollar".

Are they ex-military or something?

I worked with two ex-Air Force lawyers who talked in lingo all the time in meetings.

I just wanted to say "Knock off the ****** guys, you were lawyers not fighter pilots!"

Why not run it up the flagpole and see what sticks while we're at it? Vis-a-vis marketing strategies.
