Is this an american thing or am I a plank.
I'm using thepencil trick but I want something more stable so I really do want to know.
 
I would love to see the link(s) where this is tested, I have only read about it here. I assume they are referring to the rear window defogger trace lines in modern automobiles, that can crack and then be repaired with such a kit.
 
it is a heating element placed in rear windows to warm up and remove the fog/ice/whatever is on it.

I use it every morning. good stuff.
