266 fsb? Whats going on about that? These are the ones that everyone is raving about right? I saw this at monarch and was wondering if this was the one...?

Let me know. My rma board is about to get here from newegg.Thanks. :D

They are mobile processors designed for low cost, cool systems. High speed, hot ram doesn't help in a laptop :). Because they are unlocked, however, the default fsb really doesn't matter that much.

They are designed for 266FSB operation in laptops, but I've never seen one mobile that couldn't do 400FSB and higher.

they all have the same core so if it runs at lower vcore it is a better chip generly speaking however you can not go wrong with a mobile barton i bet they are all good ocers

CPU's dont really have a FSB, motherboards do. they do use a fsb but if more chips were unlocked people would realize this.

The FSB goes from the CPU to the memory controller, so the CPU is part of the FSB

In the case of AMD64 chips, the CPU does have a FSB as the memory controller is on the chip.

quick question....

on new egg. do the mobile 2400+ come with heatsink and cpu fan?

the 2500+ non-mobile comes with both.

so will the price difference be worth it to get the mobile if i have to spend another 20 bucks for a heatsink and fan?

if so what is a good heatsink and fan combo i can get from newegg. Thanks everyone! :D

Intelligence is irrelivant.
Money is irrelevant.
Fame and forture are irrelevant.
Bus speed is irrelevant.

These chips run at a default of 600mhz if you just plug 'em in and fire 'em up. They are actually MEANT to be overclocked.

Submit or be destroyed.

Mobiles don't come with hs/f. If I were to buy one probably any of the Thermaltake/right that supports 80mm fans is a good buy.

Who cares what's advertised? it can run at 2000 MHZ BUS and 1x multiplier if you can find a chipset and memory capable.
