depends on the brand I suppose...but if it itches like hell its prolly fiberglass.

I think that it's basically the same as brake pad material. I know that clutches used to contain asbestos. Hope you didn't breathe too much of it in. :p

I don't think fiberglass is strong enough for a clutch, asbestos is much more likely.

I haven't put the new one in yet, I was jsut cleaning all the crap out of the bellhousing.

Its usually an organic material. Not sure what. HiPo clutches are usually some combination of carbon/kevlar.
