the last couple of weeks, for some reason at sporatic times, my lower legs (calf and shin areas) get into random itchy fits.

There's NO rash, no bumps, no redness, and no markings of any kind. and it happens at random times, but often!

What giveS?

You have South American Neurotosonic Glandular Synaptic Leap Disease. (SANGSLD, or "sang-d" for short)

It's cureable with a few minor in-patient surgeries. You will lose the feeling in your toes on both feet though....

haha...I would venture a guess that it's a circulation problem. Not enough blood will make parts of your body feel weird and sometimes itchy.

I'd chalk it up to dryness caused by sudden or dramatic or frequent weather changes.
i was thinking it was some sort of dryness as well, since i think it all started when i got my first sunburn of the season

Dutch Veinous Triangulation sickness.

lol

I was joking, but...

Deep Vein Thrombosis...blood clot in the leg. Often happens to folks who don't move alot, like on an airplane. Most likely what caused David Bloom's (msnbc reporter in Iraq) pulmonary embolism sunday morning.
