wtf, dude... seriously...

http://www.break.com/index/britishiraq12.html

digusting. i had to stop it about half way through...

not only am i pissed as hell about this kind of bvllshit happening, but i'm pissed as hell that this was even video recorded at all. didn't that stupid bitch holding the camera know it'd find it's way to the internet? once on the internet, it'll spread like wildfire and cause more anger in the hearts of many radical islamists who only need a good reason to follow through with a terrorist attack.

i fear/doubt our troops aren't acting any better during stressful times. i pray i'm wrong.

Big deal. They got smacked across the backside with a switch. I think it is funny. They need to learn the consequences of their actions and a spanking is pretty mild considering they could have been shot.

are you fvcking kidding?

that's not called a spanking... getting socked in the stomach, thrown against a wall, punched in the face, kicked in the balls, etc is not called a spanking. throwing rocks at troops is typical... that's not "attacking," per se. getting a beating like that for throwing stones is unacceptable.... and so is the filmer's reaction/response to what's going on.

what if it was your son getting the shyt kicked out of him by 3 soldiers just because he chucked a rock over a heavily armored soldier?

Then I'd smack my son for being so stupid as to throw rocks at armed soldiers who are liable to shoot you.

When they got done with him that is where I would start for him being retarded enough to throw rocks at soldeirs. Then again there is no way I would raise a son to be that completely stupid in the first palce. Parenting starts in the home.

Actually I was really joking in a way. I don't support this kind of action for exactly the reason you state but the kids definitely deserved a little beating. I expected the video to actually be something shocking and it was not, that is all.

yeah, that's what you would do... that's different from having 3 or 4 other guys do it for you at a much higher degree.

Considering all it seems to take to offend them is a cartoon these days it would seem that anything short of kissing their collecitve asses would result in a riot.

Not condoning the actions of the brits mind you but it reminds me of the old Sam Kinneson joke: "I don't agree with beating your wife. I understand it... but I don't agree with it."

you're obviously a republican. i realized this based on the fact that you point out the obvious ex post facto.... that is to say that it doesn't matter whether parenting starts in the home or not. that doesn't make the behavior of the troops ok.

also, i could tell you were a republican by claiming to be stoic and standing by to commense the beating of your child once the soldiers stopped. i'd even venture a guess and say you're either from texas or kentucky.

they deserved tear gas... not a beating. a beating will only make them hate the occupation that much more. not only that, but those kids who were beaten can go around their little shanty and tell all the other kids their account of what happened and how the soldiers aren't really there to protect them at all... they're really there just to throw their might and weight around and bully their way around the world.... thus, giving rise to future terrorists.

not only that, but it's this kind of stupidity which breeds more terrorists than we capture. it's this kind of stupidity which secures a losing battle for the coallition.

Not that I condone this kind of violence, and not that I have experienced this first hand, but you have to realize war changes a man's mind.

They know that these people want them DEAD, so if something irrational happens - like in the video - you kinda need to just shrug it off. It's no Vietnam, but an enemy is enemy.

Enemy! = friend.

I never said I would beat him, I said I would start in on him. My beating would be much more effective because it would be psychological. You are right. I am definitely a Republican and damn proud of it too, but I am not religious at all so that probably messed up your stereotype.

Just curious... but if they didn't already think that before... why were they throwing rocks at the soldiers?
