Was watching tv tonight & they were praising Mariah Carey for her new album or whatever & then they mention she's only 3rd to Elvis and the Beatles in #1hits !!!!
Nothing against Mariah but they left out the person who almost has more #1hits than Elvis and the Beatles COMBINED!

People have horrid taste in music... I've never looked at and don't plan to ever look at sales numbers or top 100s or any of those things... I could care less what a majority of people like.

I don't either but to leave the top guy out of the amount of #1hits totally? Let's just name 50cent "Crap" rapper as #1. Nah, he'll be non exsistant in the future and won't come close to it. Probably dead in the next few years anyway **LOL**

 
She's third when it comes to Billboard #1's - billboard has only been around for so long. That said - MCs new album is gonna be #1 this week on the album chart 😀 Sales predictions are around 375,000 units right now 🙂
 
You show me where it says Mariah is #3 in ALL TIME #1 hits. No matter if Billboard shows it or not, it's there.

Billboard website is crap......... Show me! where it states numbers. It's a known FACT that Bing Crosby is #1.
#1 in Number of songs recorded (over 2000), #1hits (close to 40) & #1 in TOTAL album sales to date. Estimates rate it over a Billion. Not one artist out there scratches the surface. Not even the Glued & Glitter'ed Mariah.

I'm not saying that any artist does. Older charts are not kept track of - the only chart that is used these days is the Billboard chart, and only songs that have charted on it are counted. Yeah - he might have charted #1 prior to Billboards existance - nobody denys that, but because Billboard is the standard when it comes to sales/airplay charts, it's only natural that it's the only one that matters.
