Ooook, so I accidentally deleted a photo today that I wanted to keep.

Did some searching on AT... found some good software. Used it, got the desired photo.

However, while looking through the thumbnail preview of recoverable photos, I noticed some photos I did not recognize.

I managed to recover the photos, and there are 3 or 4 photos of 2 guys, whom I have never seen before in my entire life!!

Zoomed in on plaque

What. the. heck.
Why are there pictures of 2 random guys playing poker, on my camera?!!!

My SD card was bought brand new at our local Future Shop, unopened. Kingston 512MB card...

So, who are these guys?
I zoomed in to one of the photos, and was able to read the plaque above their head.

A quick Google search revealed that these guys are in fact, located in New Brunswick ,Canada. I live in Nova Scotia, and the drive from here to St Andrew's is only a few hundred km.

Anyone have any ideas on how this happened? Did someone have the SD card before me, and return it, for it to be repackaged?

You've discovered how to get photos that haven't been taken yet.

These are the two fools who will later steal your camera. They are laughing at you because they saw this post and in the future took pictures of themselves flipping you off.

post the zoomed in image

its likely a multi megapixel image, and so on the source image, you would be able to do such a thing.

i'd say that you got really drunk one night and don't remember it.. which means there could be more that you dont know that really happened... read the paper to make sure your name isn't brought up on like, anything that could be bad for your reputation....

Not sure if it's possible. What I have is just a copy of what's really on the card. The copy was created from the original version, and has a new timestamp dated "today".

get into the properties for the image files and see if it will return the original dates and not the date the images were recovered....

Possible that the card was returned and repackaged/refurbished.

I think that my explanation was much more plausible.

Same way you can scan through deleted files on your hard drive.

I used PC Inspector to recover the photos from the card.

Perhaps SD stands for Sun Dog?

(Stephen King fans will understand that one ;) )

Look at EXIF data tags on photos.

They were taken this past summer.
