It did this a few months ago, thought it was a bad HDMI cable... Got a new one and it seemed fine... I've also since replaced the SA8300HD box when the old one died a little over a week ago... Well today, it started again... Almost brand new SA8300HD (i peeled the sticker off last week)

Toshiba 46" HM95 DLP
SA8300HD
via HDMI cable

Dosen't seem to do it using Component (though via Component, the picture seems to jiitter a bit)

Any idea whats going on here?

If you switched the cable to component and it still jitters it sounds like a bad video board in the set

Well it flashes that blue color via the HDMI cable...

Via component, it dosent flash colors, just jitters...

Right, but it still has video probs.. I can't tell you for sure either way simply because I don't know much about it personally but if you replaced the HD box, the cables, and TV and it still does it, you may have gotten another bad set.

edit: you should set it up somewhere completely different and see if it still has the same problems, don't use any of your hardware.. like the store perhaps.

Eh? I cant exactly carry a 46" tv down to best buy 🙂

Im calling toshiba right now to have a tech sent out...

bah... if you got a warranty.. have it replaced. Not worth the trouble of having it repaired. Bad set, prolly poor QA or bad batch of sets?
I've never had that problem. 18 mos and no problems with my DLP and I use it approx 8 hours a day.. set must have 4,000 hours on it! Gonna get a new bulb soon. Thank god my warranty covers that. 🙂

My first bulb blew after 400 hours....

Toshiba's PQ is great, but not worth the troubles...

Bulb only lasted 400 hours? That's not right...some TVs have different settings that cause the lifespan to shorten dramatically, you might want to check that.

Toshiba acknowledged a problem with the bulbs on their 2005 DLPs
