What the heck is W32.Pinfi (virus?)....

I got it last week and had to reinstall windows, now my buddy has it on his computer and he cant get his exe's to work and now his norton wont work. I didnt want to post in OS because he has already reinstalled windows, im just wondering if any other people have heard of this and/or got it....

The other virus thread reminded me of it.

Follow the removal instructions? If he can't get norton to run have him run an online virus scanner.

 

Ya, well we tried, and when we got into safe mode norton wouldnt open......
Then rebooted and norton wouldnt open in regular windows......
We did try to do what it said.....
