They're pretty common chickens, at least around here. They're excellent at brooding (sitting on eggs.) Many modern breeds like to lay a lot of eggs, but don't quite have those instincts to sit on them.

Didn't seem very interested. How old is Percy? When my cats were younger they would have been after anything that moved. You'd have to restrain them if you didn't want them chasing any other live animal smaller than them. When they were older they were like *yawn* yeah whatever dude...boooring.

Beauiful cat though, bird too. I've never seen one before.

Thanks. Percy is an old male cat and has been around the block a few times. You are right however, he feigns interest sometimes if he thinks it will please you.
