Now I realise that EMO was a type of music but now everyone is calling everything EMO wtf does this even mean anymore? Too emo this or too emo that.

It's beginning to be overused I think. There's plenty of emo kiddies but anytime someone reveals something personal about their life it's "emo" now... gets old after awhile.

There's a difference between revealing/talking personal struggles and a "OMG! my world is so terrible, I want to wallow in my own failures"

It's the lack of character that defines "emo"

At least when I was a punk-skater dude, we stood for something.

Oh, I get it. Goth was too hip, so they had to rename it because kids today are "different".

Yeah I agree with you. Just seems that people throw out the word regardless. It's just popular now I guess.
