What the heck is the pci/agp lock?

:confused: Help me on this..................I'm no dope and this is a topic that's been bantered all over the place, LOL. Still, I haven't seen an explanation!! Hope all you rocket scientists will help out.

The PCI/AGP lock will fix your PCI and AGP bus speeds at their standard 33MHz and 66MHZ respectively. This helps a lot with overclocking as out of spec PCI and AGP bus frequencies no longer hold you back.

If we only had the PCI/AGP lock back in the day... we'd all still be running OC'd BX boards ;)

Heh, thanks guys. BTW I'm STILL running an overclocked BX and you're right; if I could freeze my PCI bus I'd never have to upgrade! Great chipset the BX...............:D
