What the heck is happening?

I have DSL with a router. Within a few minutes of every reboot certain websites won't load, they just get stuck in "Waiting for ***.com" Ebay is the first that comes to mind.

I can access most other websites, just not certain others. I have tried both Mozilla and Internet Explorer.

Could this be something with my DHCP server getting hung up? It only happens on my desktop, not my laptop hooked up to the same router.

It wouldnt be the DHCP server. It could be the DNS server stuffing up a bit

It might also be a good idea to scan that system for spyware with Microsoft AntiSpyware beta and for viruses/Trojans with an online web-based antivirus scanner (let this run overnight).

It can't be my provider because my laptop doesn't do it. Is there anything I can change on my machine to fix the problem?

Thanks mech, I have both MS AntiSpyware and Ad-Aware, that is one of the first things I did after this starting happening.l
