Assuming you-all saw TechCrunch's blurb about a FaceBook phone, which Facebook promptly and loudly denied.

There are already Facebook Apps for the major mobile platforms, so new software would be sort of stupid to announce & invite the press to see...

A FaceBook phone based on a highly customized build of Android?

why use the app? m.facebook.com is way better, it doesn't clutter up my notication bar or bog down my battery. Plus I can do whatever I want right from there.

I leave the app installed just for ease of uploading pics.

That's how BlackBerry apps used to work. The Android one still does for some things.

Again...I prefer the mobile site to the app.

Yea thats what I been using. When I had my Blackberry I never had to go to the site. The Android App sucks.

I think bloo is out of development.

The iPhone facebook app is simply superb. Unfortunely facebook hasn't put much effort into the other mobile platforms.

I think the facebook event may be about facebook applications like farmville and what not. Just a guess though.

Do what I do, use the full version of facebook. I have a problem with how my messages load (especially longer chains) in the android app and mobile website.
