What the heck has happened to the Lakers?

They are losing to teams who they should be demolishing (even without Malone). Lakers are down 15 points with less than 5 minutes to play right now against the Timberwolves (and it looks like the lead will stay that way). I can't believe they lost to the Clippers who tonite got whooped by the Nets.

Wake up lakers. You have three future hall of famers playing, you should be able to win without a 4th hall of famer.🙂

edit: Lakers lose by 16 pts.

the lakers are NOTHING without SHAQ... his #s might not show much but he greatly alters the game...

You just can't be competitive in the NBA anymore with only two superstars.... I guess

Or you don't really try until playoff time. One of the two.

of course it's too early, but if your payton you don't think thoughts of a max contract doesn't go thru his head??

i wasn't referring to whethor or not I felt the lakers have a chance at it all, i was talking about how a GREAT player would feel about giving up max money for a shot at the championship in the middle of a slump.

probably

but the PRIMARY reason him and malone came to Lakers was the RING (thatz what I have read anyway)

and considering they have both been in the league for a WHILE now, i am not sure money is a big issue, as long as they win the championship at the end of the season i think both of them will be reasonably satisfied with the move
